SUMMARY:5th Annual Race to Zero 5K Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:Grab your running shoes\, friends\, and family and join ZCenter for our 5th Annual Race to Zero 5K run/walk to end sexual violence at 9 AM Sunday\, April 23rd at Independence Grove in Libertyville. This event celebrates and coincides with Sexual Assault Awareness Month and is an opportunity for the public to come together to raise awareness and create a community of zero tolerance for sexual violence!\n\nRegistration starts at 8 AM and the race begins at 9 AM sharp\, rain or shine.  Registration for adults 13 and older is $25 and $15 for kids 12 and younger.  Participants are encouraged to form teams. Prices will increase March 31st. Register here or for mail-in registration\, click here.\n\nThis event has become one of ZCenter’s largest annual fundraisers! It is amazing to see the community come together to raise funds and awareness for survivors of sexual abuse and assault.\n\nRunners can fund raise either with their pledge form or online.  All runners who raise the minimum of $100 will receive a race t-shirt and shoe bag and all runners receive a race t-shirt.  Need help with your fundraising? Check out ZCenter’s solicitation sample letter and suggestions here!\n\nThis year ZCenter is excited to partner with Season 14 winner of NBC’s The Biggest Loser\, Danni Allen\, and Planet Fitness to provide pre-race stretching and warm-up. Danni will be on-site to answer any fitness questions you may have!\n\nTo provide refreshments food truck language Calzone and Macaroni Co. of Vernon Hills will be onsite selling food and drinks with a percentage of proceeds benefiting ZCenter.\n\nThis event also includes a live DJ\, post-race festivities including kids’ games and activities\, raffles and prizes for top fund raisers!\n\nThank you to the ZCenter Associate Board who will be hosting post-race lawn games and tournaments in conjunction with our 5K.
