Volunteers are invaluable in the services & support ZCenter provides.
All of the services we provide to survivors are dependent upon our amazing volunteers, and we are so excited you are interested in becoming a part of our ZCenter family. Our volunteers are provided with a forty-hour sexual assault training which prepares them for supporting survivors. Throughout your entire volunteer experience with us, we will be there to support you and give guidance whenever you need it.
There are many different ways to volunteer with ZCenter depending upon your skills and interests. Whether you want to be there for a survivor when they call in on the support line, or help the development team on creating events and fundraisers—there’s a place for you here. ZCenter volunteers are passionate and dedicated individuals who are looking to support survivors, as well as educate our community about prevention.

MA intern applications will be accepted through mid-May. Flexibility to work at both the Skokie and Gurnee location is requested. Director of Development
The Director of Development plans, develops, and executes the organization’s individual and major gifts programs with current and prospective donors, corporations, and the professional community to increase revenue through corporate/foundation giving, individual financial gifts, and is responsible for achieving specific revenue goals, assist in overseeing a variety of development activities, and ensure the long-term sustainability of Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center (ZCenter).
ZCenter is a remote/hybrid workplace due to the ongoing pandemic. As part of the leadership team at ZCenter, the Director of Development is required to be flexible to the needs of the organization.

Director of Services
The Director of Services is responsible for all ZCenter services to clients and community and ensuring that these services are delivered with the highest quality and effectiveness to our clients and the community. The Director of Services is a member of the leadership team.
Services include: counseling, medical & legal advocacy, crisis intervention, prevention and community education. *Because this position will need to provide supervision to counseling staff, we require an LCSW and will consider an LCPC based on skills and experience. Applicants should have some crisis/trauma experience, some knowledge of advocacy services and other assessment experience. This position will network with other service providers, participate in county collaborations, assess programs and objectives, support those generating grants for these programs, and will provide when needed community based training and awareness to various groups.
With the entire staff, the Director of Services will be responsible for quality service delivery throughout the agency. They will demonstrate a commitment to the mission and philosophy of ZCenter geared toward ending the cycle of violence, helping to eradicate the effects of sexual assault, and empowering survivors by validating their experiences, and helping them to understand their response to the trauma.
